Strategical move towards a permanent seat in the SC?

ST. GALLEN, 14th November - During the Press conference in the afternoon, the delegate of Germany expressed his perspective in continuing to work on a draft resolution with France and China. He thereby communicated to Sputnik News that this block “is working on a solution which will be beneficial to everyone”. 

However, adhering to the position of the five permanent member states, might be interpreted as a strategic move in order to win a permanent seat in the UNSC. The USA, Russia, China, France and Brazil are namely strongly envisioning the possibility of a “pro G4 and two african states” solution in the reform.
