Meet the Secretariat
Secretary General
Bénédict Tanner
Hello everyone! 👋🏻 My name is Bénédict, and I’ll be your Secretary General for this year’s St. Gallen Model United Nations conference.
I’m currently finishing up my Master’s Double Degree in Economics and Strategic Management - while also attempting to stay calm amidst the wonderfully organised chaos that is a MUN conference.
In my (rare) free time, I enjoy going on walks and diving into computer games.
Deputy Secretary General
Sophia Hummel
Hello everyone! My name is Sophia, and I’ll be your Deputy Secretary General for this year’s St. Gallen Model United Nations conference. I’m really looking forward to helping make it just as big a success — or even bigger — than last year’s edition! 😊
I’m currently in my fourth semester studying international affairs at the University of St.Gallen. When I’m not organizing things for SGMUN or other non-profits, you’ll most likely find me doing some kind of sport — preferably outdoors!
USG of Academics & Chairs
Elias Braunwarth
Ho Ho Ho and Gude everyone, though you might mistake me for (last year's) Santa Claus, I am actually Elias, USG of Academics at SGMUN 2025! Meaning I’m responsible for our committees and chairs, topics, all kinds of documents, diplomatic formalities...in short: everything academic about SGMUN 2025.
I study International Affairs at the University of St. Gallen, and when I’m not crafting your next diplomatic nightmare (aka continuous diplomatic crises), you’ll find me screaming my lungs out on or of the football pitch. Once my voice has given in, I'll be watching F1 or crashing the same cars myself on the simulator (goddamn, I hate the lack of ABS).
USG of Delegates
Jan Gehrmann
Hi, I’m Jan and I’m honored to be the USG of Delegates at SGMUN 2025! I’m excited to be part of the team again and keep the St.Gallen-Konstanz friendship flourishing.
I’m in my fourth semester of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz and about to start an internship at the German Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva.
USG Finance & Treasury
Sofia Luginbühl
Hi, I'm Sofia, USG of Finance at SGMUN 2025! I'm responsible for managing our budget and keeping the finances of the conference in order.
I study Economics at the University of St. Gallen. When I'm not studying, I love to travel and spending time with my little dog Jacky
USG Accommodation & Volunteers
Joshua Lane
Hey there :)
My name is Jakob, I am in the 2nd semester of the Assessment Year and starting my Bachelor of Business Administration in September. As this year’s USG of Volunteers & Accommodations, I focus on providing a pleasant place to stay for all incoming participants and ensuring an organized execution of the conference. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym and traveling the world.
USG of Marketing
Medina Musić
Hi, I'm Medina and I'm happy to be part of this year's SGMUN as the USG of Marketing!
I'm responsible for content creation and making sure the conference gets the attention it deserves.
I study Economics at the University of St. Gallen, and when I'm not working on volunteer projects, you'll probably find me teaching kickboxing or baking a dangerously good triple chocolate cake (yes, it's famous).
USG Sponsoring & Fundraising
Jan-Ole Sund
Hey there I’m Ole, the USG of sponsoring at SGMUN2025! I’ll make sure that the conference will get the best possible sponsors to ensure a great conference.
I’m currently in my second semester of the Assessmentyear at the University of St. Gallen and plan to do Business Administration afterwards.
Outside of Uni I like to go to the gym, play the piano and game online with friends.
USG Socials & Entertainment
Leo di Lucio
Hello everyone, I’m Leo and I’ll be your USG of Socials for this year’s St.Gallen Model United Nations conference. I’m responsible for everyone having a good time after committee sessions end.
I am currently doing my master’s degree in economics at the University of St.Gallen.
In my free time, I enjoy skiing, playing the guitar, and just going outside if the weather permits it.
USG of Logistics
Alena Kohl
Hey everyone! My name is Alena and I will be USG of Logistics at SGMUN 2025. I‘m responsible for smooth conference operations (so the less you notice of me, the better).
I study Economics at the University of St. Gallen, and outside of university and MUN, you will probably find me in the mountains.
