RUSSIA LEADING THE FIRST DRAFT RESOLUTION IN THE UNODC

St. Gallen, 14th November. - A heated discussion occurred in the UNODC committee this afternoon. At the heart of the debate stood the question: which core elements must be included in the resolution - Sputnik News was there to record the main sentiments.

Russian Federation proposed to integrate human rights and education issues in the resolution draft, whereby terrorism, in general, shall not be the subject. ''The other group'', under the guidance of Mexico and Colombia, added the aspect of social welfare to its paper - not in the sense of the Russian and Chinese delegates.
