A man on a mission: Santa Claus - Hanna Lauridsen

Santa and his reindeer could not resist the opportunity to crash the hard-working committees in St. Gallen. As a part of their “Operation Ho Ho Ho” they went to every committee to spread a bit of joy and provide the delegates relief from the tough negotiations.

Armed with chocolate ready to bribe the delegates, they even had a resolution ready for the delegates. Santa Claus being the thoughtful man he is, thought of every committee so nobody was left out in his resolution.

Known for his navigation skills, he did surprisingly have a bit of trouble finding EBU but worry not, he managed in the end. Even Santa has his off days but everybody had a deer-lighful time nevertheless.

Whether the rest of the committees will follow through on that resolution has yet to be seen, however, we at IPC could not resist the chocolate and the chance to report on Santa. We are more than happy to hold up our part of the resolution, ensuring transparency by reporting on joy being spread and keeping the people of St. Gallen up to date on the progress of “Operation Ho Ho Ho”.

To anybody wondering, is it really that easy to bribe IPC? Rest assured we will not be as easily bribed by anybody else. Surely everybody can agree Santa are a unique case and it is hard not to empathise with his mission. Thus, we accepted the bribe this one time for the greater good.

A busy man we got to catch a few seconds with him, in which he stated he wanted to spread joy worldwide. Whether he has managed that is still not clear, but there is no doubt St. Gallen is a more joyful place following his visit.

We at IPC think Santa is a Sleigh (SLAY).
