LEAK: Rumors About Soviet Invasion of Germany Spread

The Soviets might push all the way through Czechoslovakia and continue invading West Germany, rumors say. Radio Free Europe received an anonymous tip from a source within the Warsaw Pact committee, stating that multiple countries supported a Soviet invasion of Hungary and a possible invasion of West Germany by Soviet forces. Apparently, the Soviet plan is to take full control of Czechoslovakia, after which they plan to continue their invasion due west, attacking a NATO member. Since our anonymous source might report on behalf of a Warsaw Pact state, this information should be handled carefully. We cannot confirm it independently. Nevertheless, the increasingly aggressive nature of the Soviet regime is becoming more apparent by the minute, and NATO needs to prepare for that.
