According to an unnamed member of a delegation of the Warsaw Pact, Eastern Bloc telecommunication technology is extremely outdated and "stuck in the middle ages". According to this insider's information: the lacking telecommunication technology doesn't just affect the population's well being in a civic and economic sense, but it also restricts their operational abilities.
The anonymous source especially criticizes Brezhnev's "why do we need to fix, what isn't broken" attitude towards this.
The informant also wonders whether how the invasion of Czechoslovakia went down without any bloodshed: "(It) [...] was a miracle, maybe thanks to god or because of Nato playing 4D chess"
According to the source the Warsaw pact should be concerned: "A (Nato) [...] attack of members of the Warsaw committee, [...] won't be met with resistance due to the lack of (telecommunicative) competence"
