EU Council Chairs

Niklas Graefen

Hello everyone,
My Name is Niklas and together with Sebastian and Cédric I have the immense pleasure of chairing the European Council. Currently I am pursuing a law degree at the University of St. Gallen after already having finished my degree in International Affairs. My MUN career started four years ago in 2018 after my best friend had told me about it. Ever since then I have been in love with the MUN-world, its people, and experiences you get to make along the way. I have been to several international conferences and also got the chance to organise the SGMUN conference in 2020. Now I have the chance to return to SGMUN as chair of the European Council with two of my best friends.

I am really looking forward to seeing you in November.

Sebastian Linke

Dear SGMUN friends, my name is Sebastian Linke

I am currently pursuing a dual master's degree in International Affairs and European Affairs at the University of St. Gallen and Sciences Po Paris spending the second year of this programme back in my home town of St. Gallen. I have been a part of SGMUN since 2018 serving as the Head of Debates within the Exeuctive Board in 2018/2019. SGMUN 2022 will mark the fifth time I participate in my 'home conference', the fourth time as a chair. Given my passion for the EU and in particular its foreign and security policy, I am excited to be chairing this year's edition of the European Council.

Cédric Schad

Dear SGMUN friends, my name is Cédric Schad.

I am currently finishing my master's degree in Law at the University of St.Gallen and have been a part of SGMUN since 2018. Next to various international conferences as a delegate and chair, my most memorable moment in my MUN career has been serving as Secretary General of SGMUN 2019. Three years later, I am coming back to chair the committee that introduced me to MUN conferences in the first place: the European Council.

We are looking forward to working with you.
