UNHRC Chairs

Hanna Nussair is a recent graduate from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Bachelor’s in Communication and minor’s in Political Science and Global Studies. Hanna developed her passion for Model UN three years ago and has competed at the national and international level, which is where she was introduced to the University of St. Gallen’s Model UN team! She was also active in developing her university’s MUN team and chairing conferences throughout her state of Florida. Besides her studies and Model UN, Hanna loves reading, art, history and travelling. She is spending a year in Spain as a language and culture assistant at a secondary school in Madrid before returning to the US to pursue her Master’s degree in International Strategic Communication at American University in the fall of 2020. This is Hanna’s first time in Switzerland and she is so excited to meet you all in November!

Monica Bonilla

Monica Bonilla is currently studying Law and International Relations at the University Francisco de Victoria in Madrid. She loves a good debate and is especially interested in international conflict, warfare and politics. She has been debating and participating in MUNs for the past four years, most recently participating in Harvard’s World MUN 2019. Monica is looking forward to chairing the Human Rights Council and is excited to meet new people.


Yara Lilie de León is 18 years old and has been doing MUN for three years now. She will start University this September at ETH in Zurich in Health Sciences and Technology. Besides MUN, Yara is a scout instructor and likes to spend time at the lake with her friends. She is very excited to meet everyone in November and can’t wait to spend some amazing time and celebrate her birthday at SGMUN19 and making it an unforgettable event
